Ms. Nelson was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. Ms. Nelson attended UIC for 2 years before enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserves where she served 8 years as a Mental Health Specialist. Ms. Nelson has continued to work in the mental health field for over 12 years in various positions including a juvenile counselor at the Cook County Juvenile Detention. Ms. Nelson completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Argosy University in 2010 and is currently a student in their Forensic Psychology Master’s program. In her free time, Ms. Nelson works as a youth advisor at her church and enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. Ms. Nelson has a passion for working with teens and especially loves to help others through their troubles.
